Parenting in today's world can be challenging. Together we will explore the behavior challenges we face with our children, the life skills and characteristics we want them to have as adults, the bridge of parenting tools and principles that will move us there, and the two transcultural needs that all children have.

Deborah Owen-Sohocki, MS, LPC is an international educator, author, coach, and licensed psychotherapist specializing in Adlerian psychology, grief, and loss.  She is a Positive Discipline Lead Trainer who has been working with PD in her life personally and professionally since 1988. Her clients are families, schools, businesses, and community organizations. Deb has two sons, four stepchildren, and six grandchildren.

“I took the Positive Discipline workshop with Deborah years ago, when I had a child in 3rd grade and two high schoolers. It completely opened my eyes to a new way of thinking about my parenting. As an educator and a parent, I became much more aware of how my responses to my children’s behavior gave me critical clues to uncover the needs behind those behaviors. I still think about those lessons to this day and use them to support all the kids in my life and to strengthen our relationships. It was truly life-changing.”
