Nat and Suzanne Carter, both ordained Unity ministers, have been leading, loving, serving, and growing Unity Church of Denver since 2003. Nat is our senior minister and handles the main responsibilities of the ministry. Suzanne serves as our associate minister and is also a professional psychotherapist and director of the Unity Wholeness Center.
Together, they bring a passion and dynamism to the church’s mission of deepening connections with God, self, and others to heal lives and live dreams.
What brought you to Unity?
The search for a place where I could feel at home with the universal truths of the world’s religions and my Christian roots.

A 1989 Toyota Camry.
How would you describe your personal ministry/mission at Unity Church of Denver?
Creating big fun and vitality by deepening connections with God, self and others.
What do you love or appreciate the most about Unity Church of Denver?
The consciousness of prayer, service, laughter,and honest communication.

The presence of God is within me.

What brought you to Unity and Unity Church of Denver?
My high school psychology class clarified my soul passion of understanding people and how one’s dreams come true. When I found Unity after getting my master’s degree in 1981 from the University of Colorado at Denver, Unity’s teaching about God within brought it all together.
How would you describe your personal ministry/mission at Unity Church of Denver?
I help people heal the blocks so that they can discover their gifts and manifest their soul dreams.
What do you love or appreciate the most about Unity Church of Denver?
The Children’s Garden and Jackie and Lisa
What’s one spiritual teaching or idea that guides your life?
The very presence of God within guides me and can influence every thought, word, and deed when I am conscious.
What do you wish people could know about Unity Church of Denver?
Unity of Denver is the place to be on Sunday morning because everyone is welcome no matter what one’s beliefs are.
What are some books, movies, songs, quotes, affirmations, etc. that have supported you in your spiritual growth?
The movie, Flashdance: Take Your Passion and Make it Happen. Yee haw! I watched this movie 14 times when applying to ministerial school because it inspired me to know that my dreams would come true.

Connecting with others to share whatever needs to be shared
What do you do for fun?
Hiking, biking, swimming, skiing (water and snow and cross), triathlons, being with other creatures whether of fur, fin, feather, or skin in Nature. Listening to my son play his guitar and sing and also being with my dogs and horse with other individuals who also love these four-legged ascended being
